What to do if your hearing instrument(s) are not working:
Clean the hearing instruments, change the batteries and change the wax guards (if you have them). See Troubleshooting.
Contact Audible Difference to let us know what has happened.
Drop off in Repair Drop Box
If you or someone you know can drop the hearing instrument off in our dropbox, it is available 24/7. If it is during business hours, use the dropbox over the doorbell at the front door. If it is after hours, use the secure drop box between the two garage doors.
Mail the hearing instrument
Put your hearing instrument in a hard container such as a box or pill bottle and pack the container in a box. Ship the box via USPS Priority Mail (this comes with tracking and delivery confirmation).
How Much will it Cost?
Once we have the hearing instrument, we can call you with an estimate for the repair or remake. Your hearing instruments come with a warranty, and we can let you know if you are still under warranty for the repair or remake. If it is under warranty, there is no charge for the repair. The average cost to repair a hearing instrument if it is out of warranty is between $200-300 and is returned with a warranty on the repair work of either 6 months or 1 year depending on the age of the instrument.
How long does a repair take?
Repairs generally take 10 days to two weeks. We can arrange to program loaner instruments while your hearing instruments are being repaired if you do not have a back-up set of hearing instruments.
Telehealth
Telehealth options may be available to you if you have a computer or tablet. We can connect to your device through a secure portal to see what the problem is and to talk with you about possible solutions. Telehealth programming may also be an option if your hearing instruments are newer. This allows us to adjust your hearing aids through your computer, smartphone, or tablet. Telehealth sessions are billed at our standard hourly rate.
